Please join Dandelion Energy on April 26 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating our early 2022 kick-off <\/span>announcement<\/span><\/a> that we are now serving all of Long Island with geothermal heating and cooling solutions.The event will include a tour of our facility. Guests will also see one of the rigs that our Long Island drilling partner, Island Geo, is using for customer installations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strong Homeowner Interest in Geothermal<\/h2>\n

Long Island homeowners have responded enthusiastically to Dandelion opening operations on the Island in mid-2021. Nearly 6,000 Long Island homeowners have entered their information into Dandelion\u2019s online portal. Thirty-five homeowners have already signed contracts and will soon have a new geothermal system heating and cooling their homes. Dandelion is also creating jobs on the Island. By the end of 2022, multiple heat pump installation crews will be working out of the new Bay Shore facility.<\/span><\/p>\n

Replacing Fossil Fuels with Clean Energy<\/h2>\n

By expanding service throughout Long Island, Dandelion has empowered homeowners, builders, and buyers to replace their existing heating systems with ground-source geothermal units that provide the most efficient form of heating.\u00a0 The same geothermal system also provides more efficient air conditioning to help the region transition away from fossil-fuels as it strives to <\/span>reach carbon neutrality by 2050<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dandelion\u2019s expansion follows a challenging winter that saw heating prices soar as supply chain disruptions, geopolitical conflict, and supply and demand constraints push prices higher than ever. Unfortunately, these prices are expected to <\/span>rise by another 30 percent this year<\/span><\/a>, making geothermal heating and cooling, with its low operating costs, even more attractive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
