This new financing model makes geothermal heating and cooling more affordable than ever, <strong>accelerating mainstream adoption<\/strong> for builders and homeowners alike.<\/p>\n<p>Through the new model, builders can integrate geothermal systems into their communities for <strong>significantly less than traditional HVAC<\/strong>, reducing upfront expenses while delivering <strong>premium, high-performance homes<\/strong> that stand out in today\u2019s competitive market. New homebuyers can access geothermal for as little as <strong>$10\u2013$40 per month<\/strong>, typically a fraction of their energy savings\u2014bringing <strong>clean, affordable comfort<\/strong> to more homes than ever before.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDandelion\u2019s mission has always been to make geothermal heating and cooling affordable and attainable for all,\u201d said <strong>Dan Yates, CEO of Dandelion Energy<\/strong>. \u201cOur new leasing program removes the upfront cost barrier that has slowed adoption, bringing us closer to making geothermal the default choice for American homes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>These savings are driven by the <strong>30\u201350% federal Commercial Investment Tax Credit (ITC)<\/strong> for geothermal heat pumps, maintained through 2034 under <strong>H.R. 1<\/strong>, which also authorizes geothermal system leasing for the first time. Combined with <strong>state, local, and utility incentives<\/strong>, geothermal becomes the <strong>most cost-effective heating and cooling solution for new home construction<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Dandelion\u2019s initial program is offered in partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/upstreamlease.com\/\"><strong>Upstream Lease<\/strong><\/a> by CSG, a leader in renewable energy financial products.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to partner with Dandelion Energy to make geothermal affordable from day one,\u201d said <strong>Rory Gopaul, Founder &amp; CEO of Upstream Lease<\/strong>. \u201cBy pairing our financing expertise with Dandelion\u2019s innovative geothermal technology, we\u2019re helping builders and homeowners save on energy and equipment costs faster than ever.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The program will launch first for <strong>homebuilders in 16 states<\/strong> offering strong geothermal incentives, including <strong>Maryland and New Jersey<\/strong>, with additional markets to follow. Leasing will also be available to Dandelion\u2019s <strong>retrofit customers in New York and Connecticut<\/strong>, with typical monthly payments of <strong>$200\u2013$300<\/strong>\u2014comparable to the costs previously available under the <strong>25D consumer tax credit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Geothermal systems are the <strong>most efficient way to heat and cool a home<\/strong>, reducing energy bills by more than <strong>50% on average<\/strong> compared to other systems. As electricity demand and costs rise, geothermal offers a <strong>low-impact, grid-friendly solution<\/strong>, using about <strong>60% less electricity during peak cold days<\/strong> in colder climates.
